Watch our video and get an opportunity to win a Wattwatchers smart energy package

When our Chief Innovation Officer Grace Young spoke recently at the EnergyNEXT event in Sydney, we decided to make a video to capture her forward-looking presentation on ‘Energy Management En-Route to Net Zero’, which focuses on the role of data and related services. We’ve created a handy giveaway prize draw to help mark the occasion.

The future of energy data and services excites the Wattwatchers team.

We’re acting on it every day, and we like to talk about it too.

On 19 July our CIO Grace Young spoke at the EnergyNEXT conference and trade show on a wide-ranging topic, Energy Management En Route to Net Zero: Data and the Internet of Things, the Post-Pandemic Reset & the Electrification of Nearly Everything.

We think you’ll find it enlightening how Grace looks beyond the traditional energy industry, with its burden of regulation and historic inflexibility, to a much more nimble data-enabled future.

In this future, energy technology and data will be used well beyond the energy sector, for ClimateTech, PropTech, FinTech, Industry 4.0 and more.

And the ‘smart grid’ and ‘smart meter’ discussions that dominant energy industry discussions will move to more customer-friendly territory, around ‘smart home’ and app-driven services.

We wanted to share this thinking more widely, so we made a video (thanks to our Installation Success Engineer Haubert Yauwenas, who does a neat little side hustle as our videographer), and we’ve created a modest additional incentive to download and watch it.

Here’s how you can become a participant in the emerging marketplace for energy data as a service.

It’s easy to enter our giveaway of a Wattwatchers 3-year smart home energy package worth over $900.

If you win, it can be installed in your home free of charge … or you could gift it to a friend, family member or anyone else (as long as they live with a connection to the electricity grid in Australia).

All you need to do is watch Grace Young’s video on YouTube.

At the end of the video you’ll find a QR Code to access the online form where you enter the giveaway (there’s also a link in the You Tube description).

The prize for the winner will be provided under the terms and conditions for our My Energy Marketplace (MEM) project*, which is supported by grant funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA).

A winner will be notified after 16 August, so get in now.
