Decommissioning ‘Jove’, as ‘Mercury’ rises
As noted in previous updates, the v3 API (‘Mercury’) is now in production and being used by many of our customers.
Today (September 16, 2019) we’ve announced that the ‘Jove’ v2 API will be decommissioned after 31 March 2020. Similarly, with switching capabilities now available via the v3 API and our web applications (mydata.energy, Onboarding app and Fleet Dashboard tool), the switch.vizigrid.com API and user interface also will be decommissioned on this date.
We encourage all of our customers who haven’t already migrated their applications to the v3 API to do so, not only to be ready for decommissioning, but also to take advantage of the new features and performance benefits of the upgraded API and infrastructure.
The v3 API has been designed to be a drop-in replacement for the v2 API, to make switching over easy for most customers. Please be sure to review differences between the v2 and v3 API to see if you can migrate straight away.
Please contact us at email@example.com if you have any questions or require further assistance with migrating.
We recently launched our Fleet Dashboard (https://fleet.wattwatchers.com.au), which provides access to information about your devices, support status and switching control in one place.
We are continuing to develop this tool, with real-time circuit-level charting and mydata.energy site management planned to be released in the near future.
If you don’t already have access, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to enable this for your account.
