The Wattwatchers team is united by a vision of data-driven solutions empowering consumers in Australia and globally to participate in the emerging ‘New Energy’ marketplace – which will be cleaner, fairer, more reliable and more affordable. This City of Sydney event is a great opportunity to talk to this vision with likeminded thought-leaders.

Clean technologies are on the rise again, with ‘cleantech’ now being reinvigorated as ‘ClimateTech’, and the opportunities for Australia in the big Asian markets to our north are top of mind.

Wattwatchers’ Chief Innovation Officer Grant Young* has been invited to join an expert panel for the City of Sydney’s Visiting Entrepreneur Program (VEP) online event series next month (this session – titled ‘Asia’s cleantech transition: Opportunity for Australia’ – is on Thursday, June 11, 9-10am).

(*As well as leading Wattwatchers’ successful introduction of our third-generation cloud infrastructure and new software toolkit over the past 12 months, Grant heads our three-year, $8.2M, Australia-wide My Energy Marketplace (MEM) project backed by a $2.7M grant from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA).)

The panel of entrepreneurs and thinkers is being led by Danny Kennedy, the Californian-based CEO of New Energy Nexus, a leading global expert on the burgeoning cleantech market and the export opportunity this presents for a new breed of businesses (like Wattwatchers).

The Moderator is Holly Ransom, CEO of Emergent, with Danny being joined by EnergyLab’s Cambodian Country Director Bridget McIntosh, the Chair and Interim CEO of Beyond Zero Emissions Eytan Lenko, and Wattwatchers’ CIO Grant Young.

The Visiting Entrepreneur Program is holding multiple events in June 2020,  focused on the intersection of technology, environmental sustainability goals, and the growth of the green economy featuring three high-profile international entrepreneurs: Robyn Denholm, Board Chair, Tesla; Shama Sukul Lee, Founder & CEO, Sunfed; and Danny Kennedy.
