Wattwatchers named as semi-finalist in Aust Tech Comp
Wattwatchers has been included in the 2016 Australian Technologies Competition (ATC16) Business Accelerator, as one of 38 semi-finalists from across the innovation spectrum selected from a total of nearly 150 entries.
All semi-finalists are contenders to become this year's overall winner, but to achieve that they first have to win their category. For Wattwatchers, that's the 'New Energy Technology' award category.
The official announcement of the ATC cohort of semi-finalists for 2016 was made today (Monday August 15), with the media release saying in part:
'These Semi Finalists are industry leading innovators with the capability to become game-changers across the sectors of energy, manufacturing, food and agri-tech, mining, medical technologies, cyber security and smart cities.
'Now in its sixth year, the ATC finds, mentors and develops Australia's best technology companies with the Greatest Global Potential. The ATC16 Business Accelerator helps turn good technologies into great businesses.'
Wattwatchers is already an ATC alumni, having also been a semi-finalist in 2012 - during our company's R&D phase - when the national program for innovation leaders was known as the Australian Cleantech Competition.
